This free course is created for individuals who are ready to start their future, build confidence with technology, and explore career opportunities with Career Services integrated into the classes.
The PATH Cohort is a new training experience built from the Goodwill Tech Academy’s commitment to access, opportunity, and career advancement. Designed as a starting point for learners entering technology, PATH offers a structured, supportive pathway into digital skills and employment. This course follows a hybrid approach with two virtual and one in-person class for a total of 3 nights a week. Our in-person class will be held at the Goodwill Morgantown Opportunity Center, located at 1954 Hunters Way, Morgantown, WV 26505.
Two Levels. One Pathway Forward.
The PATH Cohort is delivered into two connected phases, designed to meet learners where they are while creating clear pathways to employment.
Level One: Foundational Skills & Career Readiness
Build the digital and professional skills needed to succeed in today’s workplace.
- Â Develop essential digital skills
- Learn how technology is used in modern work environments
- Learn safe and effective online habits
- Gain hands-on experience with common workplace tools
- Strengthen communication and customer service skills
- Receive personalized career support, including goal setting, resume building, and job readiness preparation
Learners who enroll in Phase One will continue directly into Phase Two as a part of the full PATH experience.
Level Two: Career Pathway Training & Certification Preparation
Take your skills to the next level with advanced training and certification preparation.
- Advanced technical skills training
- Hands-on, practical learning
- Prepare for industry-recognized certifications
- Receive dedicated support for the Microsoft Excel Certification
- Explore career pathways and employment opportunities
Career Services remain fully integrated to support learners as they prepare for employment in high-demand fields. Participants with strong foundational digital skills may be eligible to enroll directly in Level Two.
